SIG Enterprise Portals

The goal of the Enterprise Portals SIG is to provide a platform for exchange of information and experience about Java enterprise portal systems.

An enterprise portal is a framework for integrating information, people and processes across organizational boundaries. It provides a secure unified access point and is designed to aggregate and personalize information through application-specific portlets.

The SIG deals with various aspects of portal systems, such as integration, collaboration, federation, personalization, permissioning, specifications (JSR 168/286, WSRP) etc. The SIG reflects the multiplicity of existing Java portal systems and deals with both open source portals as well as commercial solutions.

The "Enterprise Portals"-SIG is a special interest group of the Java Users Group Switzerland (JUGS).
