Informations for our Speakers

  • enable a continuous know-how transfer
  • present new technology
  • present the Java Programming language, Methods, Processes, Trends or other technical development
  • provide a technical presentation
  • join the Apéro, "drink and nibbles", which is considered to be an important part of the event

The following documents should be submitted to info@jugs.ch as soon as possible:

  • Presentation title
  • A short abstract of the presentation (2-3 paragraphs max.)
  • Name/title/job title of speaker(s)
  • Resume (1-2 paragraphs for each speaker max.)
  • A copy of the presentation (PowerPoint or PDF). The file will be made available for download from www.jugs.ch home page after the event has taken place. A presentation copy can be sent to JUGS also after the presentation

Available facilities:

  • 1 overhead projector
  • 1 mobile beamer

Other items can be made available on request

  • At ca. 16:45 the beamer/projector shall be installed and tested
  • A questionary will be distributed to each member. The results of the questionary shall be made available to the speaker(s)
  • At ca. 16:50 the members shall assemble
  • 17:00 Sponsor Slide will be shown and the event shall be introduced to the audience
  • 17:03 Presentation
  • 17:30 Demonstration
  • 18:00 Questions and answers round
  • Completion of the questionary form
  • At ca. 18:15 start of the Apéro
  • At ca. 19 - 20 end of the Apéro

Location: Technopark Zürich

Since a speaker's fee is not available, the organiser shall donate a small present to the speaker.

  • Information about speaker's company or product shall be limitted to 1 (max.2) slide
  • Please present only slides that have been agreed upon
  • Please send us a copy of the presentation 2 days before the event so we can agree on the contents
  • Our experience is that 20...30 slides are sufficient for an average event
  • Please honour the agenda and schedule as agreed
  • Technical background of the audience should be respected
  • Speaker's attendance of the Apéro is appreciated
